Dear Classmates and friends:
It is with great regret that I must announce that the 25-year reunion of the Lafayette High School Class of 1984 has been cancelled.
After many hours of hard work by the committee, it has become apparent that we do not have a sufficient number of people registered
to host any of the three events that were scheduled for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
For those people who did register all of your money will be returned in the same manner it was sent, pay pal, check, etc.
For those of you who have made travel arrangements and plans, I regret the inconvenience, but with such low numbers it is unavoidable.
Perhaps an unofficial group of people will gather at Center Street Grill or another place on Friday. I would suggest coordinating that
through the face book page we have set up, again it would be unofficial and no fees involved or commitment required.
Your committee worked very hard on this reunion and they should all be commended for their time and efforts. It is hard to say why
registrations did not come close to reaching a number sufficient to hold the events. Perhaps it was timing, the economy or just too
recent since our last reunion 5 years ago. I hope we can all continue to stay in touch via our website at www.golhs84.com and face book. I
t has been a pleasure hearing from so many people and working with the committee again.
